The next Dartmouth Student Government (dsg) Elections will be held in the Spring of 2024. If you want to join DSG NOW, you can become a representative!

To run for DSG:

Step 1

Attend an informational session.

All prospective candidates must take part in an informational session with the Election Planning & Advisory Committee (EPAC) about expectations of the position and requirements for running. Note: during the 2020-2021 Academic Year, EPAC guidelines and regulations changed. Please consult the EPAC for updated information pertaining elections.

STEP 2

Complete a petition.

Individuals running for Senator are not required to fill out a petition. Students running for Student Body President and Vice president must gather 75 signatures respectively.

STEP 3

Start campaigning!

Talk to your fellow students, speak with current DSG members about issues they are tackling now, and leverage social media to make your mark!

There are also many ways to get involved in Student Government for students who do not want to run for office!

Members of the student body at large may attend and participate in meetings of the DSG, and can choose to ask to be a DSG Representative!

To continuously work on behalf of DSG, such students must be recognized as representatives. If a student attends three (3) Student Government meetings throughout the term (every Sunday at 7 pm in Collis 101), they are eligible to be appointed as a representative. There is no limit on the number of representatives DSG can appoint!
