Diversity and Community Affairs Committee

The Diversity and Community Affairs Committee is dedicated to building connections between student groups and to raising issues of diversity that concern all of the campus community.

Goals for this year include pushing for the hiring of faculty in the African and African American Studies Program to replace the faculty that have been lost in the past year. We also want to continue the Pangea Program, which puts selected groups together from all over campus to work on a project that fits with all of the groups' mission statements. We also plan to follow up with the Dean's Office on a report we published in the Winter of 2007, on minority faculty retention at Dartmouth College.
