College Committees
What are they?
- Bridge between students, administrators and faculty
- Address various College issues
- Impact the future direction of the college
Committee Composition:
- Several administrators and faculty members
- 1-6 students
- NB: a) Freshmen can apply b) One does not have to on SA to sit on a committee
Time Commitment:
- 6 hours per term to two hours per week depending
Application process:
- Apply online at http://sa.dartmouth.edu/committees
- The Membership and Internal Affairs Committee (MIAC) votes on each application
- List of selected students is sent to each College Committee Chair. The respective committee chairs then approve the pre-selected students.
- SA VP notifies all chosen students
- When are applications due?
- At the beginning of each term (the SA VP will blitz out the exact date at the start of each quarter)
Can you sit on multiple committees?
- Yes, but only if there is not enough student interest to fill all committees with different, and qualified, students.
